Erica has sucked me in to the Twittersphere! It's a fun place to hang out... it's like group chat/IM/sms - with a friend twist; so sometimes you only “hear” one side of a conversation and that can be strange.
If you’re not on Twitter, go ahead, give it a wurl; add me to your friends list.
Enjoy!

Several people have emailed me lately regarding the Office and Vista Launches for TX, OK, AR and LA. It seems that a lot of people are registering for the Launch Events through the MSDN Events site (http://www.msdnevents.com) and several people were confused by that fact that there isn’t a launch for Dallas or Houston listed on this site. That is because the Houston and Dallas Launch Events are being handled by a different team (you’ve gotta love silos!).
Here are the links that you want:
Click here to Register for Houston – February 13th, 2007
Click here to Register for Dallas – February 21st, 2007
Register for New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, San Antonio, Austin

About a month ago I wrote about the goodness that was my work horse of a HTC Wizard phone... It was great, it was grand... right up to the point where it died. To be fair, one of the things that I liked about my old phone was that it was unlocked and I used that fact to load up about every internal build from the Microsoft Mobility Group... Beta 2, Beta 3, RC... (there is some really cool stuff coming to Windows Mobile!) and I think that all of that flashing and re-flashing finally had its affect on my poor phone. Can you imagine trying to work while on the road without current and direct access to your email, calendar and contacts?! Me either. So this week when I landed in Houston, I went straight to the first T-Mobile store and picked up my new phone. The Dash. It's nice, I sometimes miss my stylus, and the ability to cut and paste from within an email or document, I really miss Voice Command 1.6 (coming soon to a mobile phone near you!), and I also really miss some of the Beta features that I was getting really used to having... but I do like the compact size and overall goodness of the Dash; I especially like the quality of the pictures that it takes.

You may have noticed a more consistent supply of pictures showing up on my site. This is mostly due to my new phone and the ease that Flickr makes it to upload photos via email. If you just want to track my stream of pictures the direct RSS feed is here. Enjoy!

I had the privilege of speaking at the Refresh Houston on Wednesday. I had a great time; they meet at the Buddha Lounge in Houston (across from the Galleria). We talked about how some of the new tools and features of the Microsoft platform help developers and designers work well together, “Developer Designer Zen”. I want to make sure and thank Erica for inviting me to present to the group. I hope that the information was useful to everyone (since speaking to mostly designers is not my *normal* audience) Also, Giovanni for driving from Dallas and taking pictures (Giovanni has the coolest license plate on his cool car… plus Christmas lights in his car when he drives… mucho enviouso!)
I was going to post the slides, but the pptx file was over 9 megs… so here is a link to the PDF version of the slide deck. Enjoy!
After the meeting we recorded a podcast that Erica says will be up soon.
