Check out Somasegar’s blog entry announcing .NET 3.0. For those of you that are wondering, basically, this is .NET 2.0 + WCF + WPF + WF + WCS = .NET 3.0.

Cool.

When you install the final version (RTM) of Visual Studio 2005, you should do so on a “clean” machine. That is, one that does not have a Beta version or CTP (Community Technology Preview) versions on it already. The recommended practice before RTM was to install on a VPC, or on a machine that you could easily “refresh”. However, I have run in to a handful of people that did neither of these, and are now trying to figure out how to get the Beta 2 off of there machine. Until now I had to recommend f-disk šŸ˜‰ … now I can tell you to go get the Automatic Unistall Tool that Dan has linked to.

Yesterday was the Launch event for VS2005 & SQL Server 2005 in Tulsa. The MSDN Event team did a great job. Attendees walked away with a copy of Visual Studio 2005 Standard, SQL Server 2005; plus the MSDN Event DVD that is chalk full of great stuff! If you’ll be near OKC tomorrow, I highly recommend attending!

TMCT User Migration Tool is a DNN2 Module that allows a Host orĀ Administrator to transfer users from an existing DNN Database toĀ another portal. It also will allow a Host Administrator to back up and restore users to an offline file. One of the main benefits of this module is that it will allow a person to launch a new DNN2 portal and bring the users from your old DNN1 portal.

I have officially released my first custom DotNetNuke module for sale! If you are wondering what Dot Net Nuke is, then go here: http://www.dotnetnuke.com

TMCT Email Plus is designed for a company or organization portal where you would like to be able to contact multiple people. For example: create a “Department Heads“ security role; then users will be able to send an email to any one of your department heads (User Select Mode), or in Email Blast Mode, one email would go to every one of your department heads. Email Plus is a DNN2 replacement for the standard feedback module. Email Plus supports three different operation modes: Standard, Email Blast, User Select.
