Speaking at the Agile DOTNET Houston Conference
April 18, 2012 Category: Events No Comments »
For anyone in the Houston area this Friday, our founder – Caleb Jenkins – will be speaking at the Agile DOTNET Conference hosted by Improving Enterprises and Microsoft. We’re really excited for this year’s conference – it seems that our friends over at Improving like to take it up a notch each year. Last year the Houston event was at the Microsoft office.. this year, it’s at a Major League Baseball Park with an after party watching the Astros play the Dodgers!
Caleb will be pulling from his experiences working with global agile teams to talk about 3 patterns that we’ve used to scale scrum. This talk is a lot of fun, and we’re hoping everyone will have something that they can take away from it.
If you’re planning on attending.. be sure to swing by and say hi!

XAML Fest Houston – October 6th & 7th – I’ll be there.

As Chris, Zain and Denny already pointed out, XAML Fest is coming to Houston.
What is XAMLFest? From Denny’s post:
<XamlFest />is a free two day seminar being hosted around the country to help show that XAML and WPF are not overwhelming or even particularly hard. If you live in the central part of the US, you can attend <XamlFest /> in Houston, Texas
What will I be doing there?
The organizers asked me to come present on the "Role of the Integrator"… basically I’ll be talking about the interactions between developers and designers in the XAML / WPF / Silverlight world. This will be similar to the Developer Designer Zen talk that I did for XTrain and Adobe.tv.
Mostly though, I’m looking forward to hearing from the other presenters and meeting with folks from across the region that are doing WPF/Silverlight work.
If you are attending be sure to say hi!
Houston TechFest Postponed
September 12, 2008 Category: Events No Comments »
In case you were planning on heading down to Houston for the TechFest tomorrow… you should know that there’s a huge hurricane going on down there right now.
Campus will be closed which means that the TechFest is postponed, we will try to have reschedle but not until 2009 at the soonest. Thank you all for being part of the Houston TechFest.
This is disappointing, but understandable (considering that most of Houston is currently under evacuation orders).
I know what you’re asking yourself… "great, what am I going to do now!"
ahem..
Sign up for the TulsaTechFest. I’ll be speaking at it. Jef Newsom from Improving is the closing key note (awesome!), and it’s WELL above sea level.
… and pray for the people in Houston. This looks like it’s going to be a rough one.
